The broadcasting contract for IPL keeps on changing every year or so with Star Media holding the rights as of now along with Sports18. Previously Sony Sports Network had the rights to telecast live matches of IPL in India but a historic deal made way for the Star Sports network.
In addition to TV broadcast rights, Jio Cinema is streaming the matches live on the mobile app. Hotstar is also live-streaming the matches but it is paid. It costs 299 INR per month.
USA
Cricket has recently gained popularity in the USA. There is a huge population of people from South Asia in the USA and hence the craze for cricket is alive here. In the USA Willow TV holds the rights to stream IPL matches live on TV as well as on its mobile app. You can access Willow TV via Sling TV as well.
Pakistan
Due to the political tensions between the two countries, IPL was not telecasted live in Pakistan in the previous years but recently Tapmad has acquired the rights to broadcast IPL matches in Pakistan. It’s annual subscription Costs 1500 PKR.
UK
Sky Sports holds the majority of the cricket broadcast deals in the UK, the same goes with the IPL. It;s monthly subscription costs 10 pounds.
UAE
In the United Arab Emirates and other Middle Eastern countries, Cricbuzz has acquired the rights to stream IPL matches live. Its subscription starts at 9 USD per month. Cricbuzz primarily used to be a live scoring app but now it has expanded its services to cricket broadcasting as well.
